track changes

I have a document with changes made by one reviewer. I had the track changes
on (by author) and completed my review which showed up in a different color
than the comments from the first reviewer. I saved the document. I wanted
to see the document before I sent it to the third reviewer but found that all
my comments and the first reviewer comments chnaged to one color. In other
words, I can't tell which parts were my comments and which from the first
reviewer as all the changes made changed to one color. How do I see the view
the comments from different reviewers?

Which version of Word do you have? And the person who reviewed the document
before you? And in which version of Word was the document created? Finally: Do
you still see the author's names in the comments, or is everything labelled
"Author"?

Right. Look in Tools/Options/Security and see if "Remove personal information
on save" is activated. If it is, this explains what you're seeing: the option
removes things like authors' names from comments and change tracking. Thus, all
are in the same color the next time you open the document.
