track changes, multiple authors

I need to enter and track the handwritten changes from
multiple authors into a document. Is there any way I can
note which changes belong to which author, for instance,
use a different color for each author?

Not using off-the-shelf Track Changes, unfortunately. It has a "By Author"
setting, but this works only when the authors work on the file personally.
You could manually apply a color to the text, but of course this make
accepting the changes more difficult.
