I would like to know if there is a way to trace (via log file) activity that
a user is doing on a PC with XP Pro. We've had some serious allegation
logged against a user and need to inspect that users PC for any violations.

Depending on what the "serious allegation(s)" is, contact a computer
forensics specialist and/or local law enforcement. If you mess about with
the computer yourself, you will have completely tainted any evidence you
might need.
