touch pad

My touch pad on my sony laptop will not respond to double clicking any more.
How can I find out if it can work again?

Hello Lorraine,

Check the documentation that came with your laptop. There should be a way to
enable/disable the double-click action on your touchpad through the touchpad
properties in control panel.

I couldn't find any information in the book about this. I can only find the
set up for the mouse and nothing for the touch pad.

I found the touch pad set up!! However it is enabled but the double clicking
on it will not work. The pointer works fine and always has but I cannot use
it to double click still.

Try disabling it and re-enabling it. If that does not help, do you remember
making any changes since the double-clicking stopped working ?
