totaly new to networking question

is it possible to move the files across the network. not
just sharing. I currently have file on my laptop that I
need to move to my pc. i currently have it set up through
a linksys router. with doing a direct connection
<perr2perr??> is it possible to do it through the router.
i do not have a server which i could save to then copy off
of.

Certainly it is possible. You may wish to read in the help files about
sharing.
