I have a Toshiba Satelite A40-1LR laptop with a built in
wireless adapter it's an Atheros AR5001X.On my desktop I
have a D-Link DI-624 wireless router my problem is that
the laptop picks up the signal from the router but I
cannot connect to the internet.Toshiba replaced the laptop
they thought there was something wrong with the wireless
adapter but it does the same thing.Then D-Link thought it
was there router and I got that replaced but it's doing
the same thing.Everything is configured how it should be
anybody out there have the same problem or knows what It
can be.

I also had a problem connecting with a wireless router. When I removed the connection from the bridge (control panel, network connections, right click on connection, remove from bridge), it worked. Hope this helps
