Hi there!

I am seriously at breaking point with my computer...
Ever since I purchased it, we have been at odds with each other - it usually
winning out in the end... but now that has to stop!
After getting a screen displaying stripes of darker colours fixed, it has
now decided it was lonely and has adopted 2 viruses (that I know of)...
"w32.Looked.P" and "Infostealer".
I have tried to remove the viruses by using scanning programs (Norton and
AVG) - but to no avail... I have very limited technical know-how in the
computer scene (and my computer is using this to its advantage!). In the
process - my computer seems to have taken parts of the .exe files with bits
of the viruses it has deleted. But the viruses are still in there...
Also, my DVD drive / burner refuses to work - it doen't burn CDs / DVD's - I
don't know why its even in there! - it was able to burn CDs before, but
seems to have given this up as well since getting the viruses.
I have a Toshiba Satellite and am using Windows XP...
As you can see... I am in desperate need of some help!
If you have a genius brain - ready to do battle with a wiley
computer - please, please let me know and send me any tips that you can...
Any help / advice / info would be much appreciated! (My sanity is at stake!)
Thank you!
