Toshiba Laptop service manual?

who?

Toshiba Laptop service manuals?
Anyone know where I might find them?
I searched on the Toshiba UK website but I only found USER Manuals.
No good, as I want to investigate the possibility of replacing the touchpad
buttons on a Toshiba Satellite.
cheers!

Try www.IrisVista.com because even if they don't have a service manual
for your particular model, they may have good repair and disassembly
instructions.

The only thing I was able to get from Toshiba's US tech support (in
Philippines) was an exploded diagram and parts list for my A2xx series
Satellite laptop, and to get it I had to speak with third level tech
support, but they tried to renege on another employee's promise that I
would be provided with such a diagram. Amazingly, Toshiba's US
first- and second-level tech support can't see that diagram because
they nothing but the public Toshiba US website for their source of
information. The UK website is actually much better.

It's amazing, what is wrong with them? I guess they are sworn to protect the
interests of their certified repair shops. What a pain! I certainly wont be
buying a Toshiba any time soon.

I used to take the "Ancient" Satellite laptops apart all the
time. In fact, you had to, inorder to get to a lot of the
replaceable parts. The way into the guts of the laptops
was through removing the keyboard. The old ones had a
little strip across the top of the keyboard that you just pried
up. With that strip and a few screws removed the keyboard
can be lifted out by disconnecting a few cables/wires.

If you want help for something like this, you should include
the make & model #.

One thing you may find though; is that a replacement
keyboard for some models might cost as much as a
whole refurbished laptop.

Luck;
Ken

Thanks guys, the model is a Satellite L30-10S ( I didn't have that info
earlier)
