Toshiba and Bluetooth

I just recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite P205-S6348 from CompUSA. When
purchasing the computer, they advised that I purchase a Bluetooth mouse at
the same time, which I did.
I got the computer up and running and found an icon on the desktop telling
me to update the "Bluetooth stack" which I did. Then, I plugged in the
Bluetooth mouse (a Targus brand) and the computer would do nothing...no
recognizing it, nothing!
Upon further review, it appears as though this computer is not Bluetooth
capable. I found that to be somewhat odd since the desktop has the Bluetooth
icon on it and Bluetooth program in the start up list.
I ran a scan of the computer using Belarc Advisor and there is no mention of
Bluetooth in that report, so it appears as though my investigation is
accurate.
Does this plausible? If so, why would Toshiba equip the machine with
Bluetooth Stack info if it's not part of the package???

Thanks for ya'lls help....
