Top of Personal Folders

I migrated a user from Outlook 98 to Outlook 2002. She
had stored many messages in the root of her Personal
folders and, in Outlook 98, she could view them. However,
now that she is running Outlook 2002, she cannot view
these messages. When she searches for these messages, it
lists the folder as "Top of Personal Folders".

What changes can I make to allow the user to view her
messages in that location and then move them to a
different folder?

The instructions for "Items that you place in Outlook
Today Seem to be Lost" do not work for Personal Folders.

Can she find the items using Advanced Find?

She can locate a few of them through Advanced Find. I am
going to have her search all messages; sort from Folders;
and then move them to a new subfolder. Hopefully, that
will work.

However, I was trying to find a way to configure her
personal folder so that she could see the messages at the
root.

I don't know why she wouldn't be able to see them if they're in the root
folder of the Personal Folders file...unless that's not what you mean by
"Top of Personal Folders". What happens if she right-clicks the root
folder, selects Properties, then the Folder Home Page tab -- is there a
folder home page set? Also, in the last paragraph of your original message
you mentioned something that sounds like a MSKB article -- what's the
article number?
