Top left and bottom shared borders

I have visited my website a few times the last couple of weeks and
everything looked fine. I have not published any revisions since July. This
evening the top, left, and bottom shared borders are gone. There is nothing
except the main table for body content on all pages.

Last week I had a query on this board because the copyright symbol and the
triple-em symbols had turned to rectangles. Next day and since they are
fine.

Both IE7 and Firefox 4 show the same thing. Could the host server be the
culprit?

This line
<meta name="Microsoft Border" content="none, default">
indicates that the shared borders are not to be displayed on the home
page, or any other page. It is unusual (never heard of it before) for
such code to change on the server without outside help, but Road Runner
has been having a lot of problems lately.

The files for your top, left and bottom borders appear to be intact.

Suggest re-publishing the site, if you can.

I've been on the phone most of the time today and am fairly frustrated.
Thanks for telling me what you're seeing. RR is in the process of moving
everything to a new server. One tech told me that apparently the borders did
not transfer. Those that I talked with said they can see at least part of
the problem, and know it is their problem and not mine.

One of them suggested I republish, which I've attempted a few times (when
there is a blip, the password either gets lost or broken. I finally worked
through two new passwords and one of them actually let me into my main
account, and then let me into my web account so I could re-enable FrontPage.
Then I opened FP, resaved the index page and attempted to publish again. The
password isn't accepted.

1. Stefan, what do you mean by "Reapply your shared borders..."?
<meta name="Microsoft Border" content="tlb, default"> is what shows in FP
HTML editor.

2. Do I delete the FP Ext cache before I re-enable FP, or after I re-enable
FP?

If your local copy of the web still shows the shared borders, then
publish all pages to the remote web site.
If it does not show the borders, then with home page open,
Format->Shared Borders
Tick the appropriate borders that you wish to use and set the default
for the web site. Save the page.
Check the pages show the borders, and publish all pages.
