tooltip

With VB.Net can I have a tooltip (or similar) functionality on a text
box? Is there a third party control that I can use if the standard one
does not support it?

Since most devices don't have a mouse pointer, it is pretty pointless to
have tooltips so generally the answer is no. The only tooltips the platform
supports is when you press and hold on a toolbarbutton and that is supported
in CF v2.0. For links on tooltips see this:
