Tooltip goes away too fast

Is there a way to make a tool tip (when the cursor is placed over an
item) to last longer? - or better yet, a way to print it? This is
sometimes a problem when trying to look at a path that is very deep
and the folder/file names are very long.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Whack the PrintScreen button and the Tooltip will be captured along with
the rest of the screen. Paste into some program and then crop out the
rest of the screen but the TT.
