I have unwanted links in my TOOLS drop down menu along and
I want to delete them. The Help menu is totally USELESS
as there is no directions for the layman to remove them.
I am annoyed and disappointed that there is no simple
directions for me to delete them!!

If anyone knows how to remove them, please respond! I
would appreciate it very much.

Thanks,
Jenn

Hi,

It would appear that your computer has been downloaded 'SpyWare'. To remove
the programs responsible, download 'AdAware'. It's available from:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Once you download the program, update it by clicking on the 'check for updates
now'. This will ensure you are protected against the latest threats.

You should also read the following:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

It will help you assess the impact of whatever you have downloaded, and how
to best deal with them.

Regards,

Altrus

1. Close all instances of IE
2. Open regedit.exe, browse to this registry branch:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions]

3. Delete the sub-key of that offending web site

3. Close Registry Editor and restart IE.

-------------
You may need to find out what put the links on the menu?
Eliminate any scumware.
