toolbox greyed

I can't use my toolbox because it is greyed out?? I am in the design mode of
my table.

Ummmmm. What tool is it you want to use in a table? There are no controls
on the toolbox that apply to a table. It should be grayed out.

The toolbox is for forms and reports, not tables or queries.

Need to create pull down menu or check boxes for data entry, I am new to
Access and I thought you needed the toolbox to do that.

You create those tool sin a FORM, not a table.

Make your table. Include all the fields you need. Then, make a table based
on that form. You can use the types of controls you mention in the form.
