Toolbars Double Clicking

D

David Plotts

XP Professional and Outlook & Word 03: Whenever a user clicks either the
delete or print buttons on the toolbar, it does the action twice. It isn't
every time though, sometimes just once. The user is single clicking. I've
replaced mouse thinking that is the problem, but does not solve problem.

Any ideas where to start?

Double-click speed is set in the default location, right in the center.
It's random, and the mouse is always single clicked..

The problem, as you described, is usually caused by what is known as 'switch
bounce'. The mouse driver must filter out switch bounce and apparently is
not doing that. Try setting double click speed to 'fast' and test it. If
unable to correct you may want to convert to a cordless mouse.
