The first link below has both a automatic and a manual method for
removing the iSearch bar.
http://toolbar.isearch.com/uninstall/
Then get AdAware and SpyBot S&D (next link)After reading the
tutorial on Spybot run both. ALWAYS
update them before you run them..

Thanks for the help Jack, but I think Les has the same problem I do
and your reply doesn't quite answer the problem.
My problem (and I think Les' also) in not how to get rid of the
iSearch toobar - but the fact that after I did get rid of it, my
toolbar option controls seem to be locked.
Somehow I got an iSearch toolbar installed (I think it is called
'having my toolbar 'hijacked'). I ran an Ad-Aware 6.0 scan and it
didn't help. I was told about Spybot, went to their site and ran a
trial Spy Sweeper scan. It found and removed the iSearch toolbar -
along with a few other pieces of software and a bunch of adware and
cookies. So far, so good.
But after I ran the Spy Sweeper scan and rebooted, I opened IE6 and
found that my IE toolbar had been altered. Some tools had been
removed and the order of tools on the bar had been changed. I right
clicked on the bar to go to 'Customize' in order to put things back
the way they were. But to my surprise, 'Customize' no longer
appeared on the menu. In fact, only one enabled menu choice
remained...'Text Labels'. 6 other menu items appeared, but were not
enabled. 'Standard Buttons', 'Address Bar', 'Links' and 'My
Websearch' were turned on but not enabled - so they can't be turned
off. 'McAfee VirusScan' and Copernic' were turned off and not
enabled - so they can't be turned on. 'Customize' isn't even on the
menu anymore!
Also, if I go to the 'View' menu/ 'Toolbars', I get the same very
limited menu.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing IE6 with no effect. I
have tried going into Advanced Options and disabling IE extensions
and then rebooting - with no effect. I am considering re-installing
2000 or even reformatting my programs partition. But I thought I
would ask here first if anyone knows what happened to my toolbar
option controls and how to fix it with something less drastic than a
reformat.
Thanks to anyone for any help. And Les, if I misunderstood and this
is not your problem, too, my apologies.
