Toolbar control went crazy

I have some third-party toolbars on EI6 (All updates
except SP2): Norton, Roboforms, Google and Earthlink.
All of a sudden, when I right click in the toolbar area
and check or uncheck a toolbar, a DIFFERENT toolbar opens
or closes. I tried rebooting, but it keeps happening.
Suggestions?

I had the exact same problem with the same toolbars, only
without the Earthlink one, and add the Yahoo anti-spy
one. I just coped with it. Now I've got multiple
additional IE problems that I think are probably related.
Try file checker to see if that repairs it?
Start>Run> sfc /scannow

Appreicate the suggestion, but neither that nor a
chkdsk /f helped. Oh well, it's about time for a clean
reinstall (and a lost weekend) anyway. Now if only MS
