Toolbar - Button Won't Stay

Hi,

I created a macro MrgCtr, it's in my Personal.xls. I have one custom
toolbar named KTools. I added a button for this macro to this toolbar. I
attached the toolbar to Personal.xls, I attached it to another file I use all
the time. The button leaves whenever I quit Excel. I have added buttons
before and this hasn't happened. I'm stumped.

TIA

I think your life will be lots easier if you create that toolbar when the
workbook opens and destroy it when the workbook closes.

Some references if you want to look at that option:

For additions to the worksheet menu bar, I really like the way John Walkenbach
does it in his menumaker workbook:
http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip53.htm

Here's how I do it when I want a toolbar:
http://www.contextures.com/xlToolbar02.html
(from Debra Dalgleish's site)

And if you use xl2007:

If you want to learn about modifying the ribbon, you can start at Ron de Bruin's
site:
http://www.rondebruin.nl/ribbon.htm
http://www.rondebruin.nl/qat.htm -- For macros for all workbooks (saved as an
addin)
or
http://www.rondebruin.nl/2007addin.htm

In xl2007, those toolbars and menu modifications will show up under the addins.

Dave,

Thank you - works great! Is there anyway to attach the toolbar to the
toolbar area instead of having it float on the worksheet?

You can change this portion:

.Position = msoBarFloating
to
.Position = msoBarTop
or
.Position = msoBarBottom

Personally, I like to float it in the window. The user can move it to where
they want, but I figure that they'll notice that it was added!
