Tool to cleanup sound track

My sound track has a lot of background noise.

Does WMM or any other accessible non-professional tool provide a means to
cleanup or filter out certain sound frequencies?

WMM doesn't have this ability. But you could certainly google for an audio
editing program that will do it for ya.

Audacity will do it for free. http://audacity.sourceforge.net. It's
amazing what it will do.
