I'm tired of reading that I can't see all my icons on the start menu

No, I believe it is all or nothing. However, to stop that message from
appearing, organize your start menu. You can make new folders and move
stuff around. You might want a folder for Office Programs for instance,
and in it you'd have your word processor, spreadsheet, etc. You might
want a folder for graphics programs, and in that you might put
Irfanview, Adobe Photo Deluxe, etc.

Right-click on your Start button and choose Explore.
