I have too many toolbars opening up in my taskbar. Most
of them are empty, but some of them are just duplicates
of open applications. How can I get rid of them, or close
them, or something? Why do they keep opening? Thanks.

Toolbars? Those can be removed by right clicking the taskbar. Click to
select Toolbars and then click to uncheck the unwanted toolbar listing.

dstefffy,

What are the toolbars listed when you right-click Taskbar and select the
Toolbars menu? Meanwhile, download my program deskbands.exe from here (
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/deskbands.exe ). Run deskbands.exe and it
enumerates the list of Deskbands (Toolbars in Taskbar) and generates a log
with the details of every band object. Post the log file here.
