Too many navigation folders

I am working in Outlook 2003. Due to lost .pst. I have several folders such
as Calendars, Notes. When I go to use this feature, I have to be certain
that I am in the current folder or my data is captured in a calendar I am not
using on a regular basis. How do I get it to open my active Notes,
Calendars, etc. The system doesnt allow me to delete these extemporaneous
folder. I would be happy if I could set my active folders as defaults but
cant find that either. Any suggestions?

Could you start your story from the beginning? You are referring to things
you see but remember that we don't see them. You have to tell us where you
are referring to and what you are trying to achieve.

The Folder List Navigation shows all your folders in a list. The Mail,
Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and Journal Navigation only show the
folders of that specific type.

The Shortcuts Navigation allows you to group shortcuts to files and folders
of your choice.

The Favorite Folders list only shows in the Mail Navigation.
