Too many methods to fire???

I have downloaded video footage to my computer, which I have no trouble
playing through Windows Media Player 11. However, when I try to import the
clips into Windows Movie Maker it returns an error saying...

"could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from"

Can anyone help, please?
