too many formulas causing slow workbook load?

i have a workbook that i am working on for my employer

this book has approx 1200 diff formulas on the sheet. each one i
pulling info off of another shared workbook. when i orig. began worki
on this, it would load immediately. now this thing is taking 2+ minute
to load each time. could it be that there are too many formulas on th
sheet and they are taking so long to calculate that its just loadin
slow? the workbook itself is about 176 KB total. any ideas o
suggestions
