'Too many fields defined' - another one

Hi. I'm getting the message 'Too many fields defined' on
trying to export a table to Excel. I'm exporting other
queries and tables as well, repeatedly.

The other exports work fine even though some of them have
more columns. The only difference I can see between the
one I'm having trouble with and the others is that it's
based on a crosstab query - though it's then put into a
table before exporting.

I have tried exporting through code and manually and
always get the same message. The highest number of fields
it will allow is 15, even though the technical limit is
apparently 255.

Can anyone help please??????

Thanks in advance
Haille

I have the same problem with a copy of a database
( the original works well)

Removing the Excel file helps.
You can do it manually or with a *.bat file.

This does not solve the problem but it works.
