Too Many Address Groups

M

Martin von Dehn

I have an address book problem with Outlook. Most of the time when I am composing an email my address book is empty, but my Contact Folder is full. According to Outlook I only have one address book.

When I look at my address book the 'Show names from the:' combo box presents me with the following:

Outlook Address Book
Contacts
Contacts
Hotmail Account
Hotmail Account
Yahoo! Email
Yahoo! Email

One of each of these three groups has email addresses, while the other does not. 95% of the time Outlook is either unable to resolve the names to whom I am sending an email, or if I click 'To:' in order to choose the name I am greeted with an empty address book. How can I resolve this situation?

Thank You for Your Replies.

How many contacts folders doe you have listed when going to;
-the Contacts Navigation view
-the Folder List Navigation view

3 or 6?

Which version of Outlook are you using?

Already tried removing the empty ones from showing up in your Address Book
and selected your default list?
Tools-> Address Book... and in Address Book; Tools-> Options...
