too big too fit in memory, xp ntfs

When I try to run dx90update_redist.ex or any other dos
program, I get the too big error and the dos window
closes, happens throught cmd.exxe asswell, this is new
with no real hardware or software changes, any body have
any ideas its driving me nuts?????

Is your file name correct? Ie is the extension really .ex or is it .exe.

If it is .ex then try renaming it to .exe

sorry a typo both are .exe files, could it be anything to
do with ntconfig????

I don't really understand how DOS fits into this.

EXE files can and should be run through the normall windows interface (ie
just double-clik on the file to run it).
