Hi,

In this Windows XP Pro SP2 installation, all of the sudden you see
tons of windows in the taskbar. For example under Outlook group there
are 26 windows but only a few legit, while the rest is either current
process names or some other names that probably referenced by the
system. Here is a screenshot:

I used to see that on my computer, but I don't remember if I actually
did anything to get rid of it. PC becomes unusable because of hundreds
of windows.

Do you know what could cause this, if so is there any fix? (Office XP,
Outlook 2003, and Windows have the latest updates)

Thanks.

Sounds like the computer is severely infested with
viruses/trojans/spyware.

Go to one of the following free online scanning sites and check the
computer for possible malware.
Bit Defender http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com
Kaspersky Online Scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Panda ActiveScan http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan
WindowSecurity.com TrojanScan http://windowssecurity.com/trojanscan
Webroot http://www.webroot.com/

Good luck
