BestBuy certainly does. lol Read the thread please before putting your foot
in your mouth. I've mentioned both US and Canadian pricing. BestBuy ships
both to the US and Canada. There's a BestBuy store not far from me near my
neighbourhood. And a Staples. And a Futureshop.

Watch the URL wrap. With 3 copies in the pack, it comes in at less the 50
bucks a copy.

They don't ship to Canada.

P.S.

BestBuy does ship to Canada - they also have stores in Canada. I don't see
the Family Pack listed at BestBuy yet - it probably will be soon enough. But
if one must have the Windows 7 Family Pack today from a Canadian big box
store then there's Staples which is selling it:

$199.95 Cdn. for the Windows 7 Family Pack

Funny: Even at 0 cents they still can't give it away, well except to the odd
estranged person.

Fact: Ubuntu is worthless whereas Windows can command a price.

I just thought, that's 50 bucks more than Ubuntu, which is free, and still
they have trouble shifting it.

Better still, repost your statements on Ubuntu, in a Windows Vista forum!

Alias

Better still don't let anyone use that crappy Ubuntu. Ubuntu won't run any
of your programs. Ubuntu is worthless.

Ubuntu is rejected by 99.9999% of the people who try it. Just FYI.

The servers bungled my reply. This is a re-do.

BestBuy operates in Canada, both online and with a physical presence (i.e.
retail outlets).

I have mentioned both Canadian and American prices. Right now the Family
Pack can be had at Staples for 199.95 Cdn. for those who want to go out and
get it today in Canada.

So no progress at all since the early 80's huh?

Not much that I've seen in terms of reliability of initial releases - it
still takes several months to iron things out - vista, for example.

Windows 7 is the exception that proves the rule. I won't say there will
not be any issues with it - with just about all computing there are
issues that pop up from time to time - but the beta and then RC stages
showed Windows 7 to be an exceptionally ironed out package and very
ready for prime time.

ok - sure

I've been running development applications on Windows 7 since August.
No problems. You are just a Linux zealot. Stay away from Windows.
Open Sores is for you.

You keep telling me about Open Sores - and I search and can't find it -
could you provide a link?

Today's the day.

Look for good deals on Windows 7 pricing. You can get deals online,
or if you can't wait, look for "Family Packs" at the big box stores
and the computer stores which enable you to acquire Windows 7 for
only about 65 bucks a copy (which is pretty inexpensive - especially
for people who use their software day in and day out all year).

Windows 7 is upgradable. It runs faster than Vista, so if you already
have a computer that can handle Vista, then you have a computer that
can run Windows 7. And in the real world, even older computers can
run Windows 7 decently if they have a gig or two of RAM (cheap) and a
capable video card (most any you can get today).

Actually, it costs the price of a CD and over 10 million are using it.
Course, you prefer lies rather than the truth, don't you?
Fact: Ubuntu is worthless whereas Windows can command a price.

Saucy

Fact: most people don't know about Ubuntu and most people think that
Windows comes with the HP, Dell, etc. computer and don't buy a retail or
generic OEM copy.

I was in a cyber cafe the other day and there was a young lady using a
netbook with Ubuntu on it. She thought it was Windows 7.

You mean you can't afford to patronize any of those stores. Stick with
Ubuntu. That is your style. SAP.
