TOCs using Styles

Hello,

I have an additional question to the reply I received below.

I was able to create a TOC using Heading Styles 1 through 3, and eliminate
page numbering from Heading 1 by editing the TOC code thus:

{ TOC \o “1-3†\n 1-1 }

This worked great. HOWEVER, it only works when I use Word's default styles.
At our office, we have to create our own styles, and are not allowed to use
or edit Word's default styles.

I can't figure out how to edit the TOC code to eliminate page numbering from
Heading 1 when using heading styles I created.

Here is an example of a default TOC code using heading styles I created:

{ TOC \o "1-3" \h \z \t "rh Level 1,1,rh Level 2,2,rh Level 3,3" }

How can I edit this code to eliminate numbering from Heading 1 (rh Level 1)?

Thanks!
Rosemary

The same way. The \n switch applies to the TOC outline level, not the
heading level.
