hello
you responded to a question i asked on here, can i just
say that when i tried to do this (xp upgrade over winme)my
cd device was set up as first boot device, but you say
that it might want the winme disc inserted at one point
but i dont have the me disc,winme was on this pc when i
bought from shop, i only have the reboot cd will this make
any difference,
 
Some of the restore disks will work as a qualifying disk, some won't. You
will just have to try it. If it doesn't work you can always restore to ME
using your restore CD. You might also look around to see if someone you know
will give you (or sell cheap) a qualifying CD. Windows 95, 98, 98SE or ME
will all work as qualifying CDs for the XP Upgrade.
