to remove spyware

can someone help me. I have a conflict of some
description. I cannot download ant-spyware, i cannot
open any help files, or i cannot view internet connects
with help in the search bar.. Some pages open for a split
second and vanish. I cannot restore as it clicks on and
off, and i cannot view help and support.
My freind says i might have spyware on there, what can i
do apart from the above. Cos it won't let me.

not related to MS AntiSpyware to
