I've been lax visiting the group lately. I just read about the passing of MVP Alex Nichol
at the bottom of one of your posts, and at the link. Over the years, through the news
groups, I developed a rapport with him. He was always informative, courteous, and giving.
He did not have to do pro bono posts in the news groups. He chose to help others. I will
miss him.

I'm not Kelly but you might wish to express your feelings here:

The family and friends of Alex have been shown the site as I understand and
your feelings can be best expressed there were they will be able to read
about how he impacted yet another person. Strange that the death of a man
I've known only online for the time I've been in the groups (since 2002 or
so I think?) and in the DTS lists could actually cause this much of an
emotional impact. Please feel free to post your comments at the above site
for all to read as your post will likely be in view longer than the post you
left here and will perhaps be read by his family and loved ones as well.

Agreed, Galen. There are a small number of people in this world that
possess... hmm, I guess the best way to describe it is "a special
presence." You are lucky if your path crosses theirs and know that your
life is better for having known them. Alex was one of those exceptional
people.
