To brave: no more boot now!

´think I was al little to brave, trying to create a 2nd partition with
partitionmagic on my xp-pro harddiskdrive "c" without having rescue-disks.
After I choused the biggest possible size, partitionmagic started working
and stopped right shortly before everything was done. Now XP does not boot
anymore, neither in one of the save-modes, nor in "last known good" nor
normal. Of couse I do not have XP-rescue-disks either.

Does anyone know a way how to make it run again anyway or at least to save
my data on the drive?

What dialogue shows on the screen when attempting to boot?

Your E-mail indicates you have access to a computer, or someone who does, - go to the following site:
www.knoppix.net/ - download the free bootable Linux version (or buy CD). It is a bootable OS-with a graphical user interface - directly from the CD - does not install on the hard drive - you will be able to access all XP files and recover your data. This same CD is sold on E-bay as a "Recovery System".
