To all who advocate no pagefile

Are you one of the people who claim that you need either no pagefile, or a
very small pagefile - at best! If so look at this.

I have 1 gig of PC 3200 RAM. While performing a huge backup using Backup
MyPC (with compression) this is the amount of pagefile used!

Just thought you would like to know.

It shows the importance of the pagefile being allowed to grow in
exceptional circumstances, by having a large *Max* size. It does not
imply that you need a large *initial size*, keeping a lot of file space
tied up at all times; though if you have plenty of disk space that will
do no actual harm.

Backup type operations are the kind of things that like to use all the
virtual memory space they can lay hands on
