Titles are overlapping

Here's my problem. I have inserted a title at the beginning of my movie. I have also inserted titles throughout the movie. I have since deleted some of the titles appearing throughout the movie. However, when I play the movie, all of the titles that were initially in the movie appear and overlap the first title in the movie. Do I need to disable something? Please advise
Thanks!

Angel,

No, you shouldn't have to disable something.... maybe drill down/zoom into
the timeline to see if the title clips you don't want are somehow still
there.

Do you have anything in the "title overlay" area located on the bottom of your timeline

Hi there,

As PAPAJOHN did not tell you how to fix this....You need to create a new
project. But first select all of the video clips by left clicking the first
one and then hold down the shift key and left click each of the remaining
clips. You can actually do this in two halves...by selecting say the first
10 clips and going back and selecting the next lot etc.

Once you have the first lot selected open your new project and past the
video clips into position. Repeat this with all video clips and then do all
of the extra audio clips if any and of course do not do the text
overlays.....when you are happy that the new project is how you want it you
can delete the old corrupt version.
