Title will not appear after typing. Please help....

When I type a title, or credit then click done, nothing happens it does not go into the timeline any longer.

I notice hat even to add a new title at beginning the box you type in is now a large single square. when it used to have a line in it before

I went ahead and tried the same thing on my laptop and it works fine. Just on my desktop when I am clicking done after creating a title or credit it does not put anything into the timeline..

Does anybody have something I can do to fix this. I have a couple projects i am in the middle of now

I am using Movie Maker 2. On Windows xp Pro

My system is a 1.4ghz with 512k ram
