text titles

I am trying to add a title to the beginning of my movie and credits in the
end. I follow the instructions on adding titles and when I click "Done, add
to movie" it doesn't do a thing. In fact when I click "add credits to end of
movie" I don't get anything...no text box, nothing. I also don't show any
title effects listed. Any ideas?

Try the following to see if it makes a difference with your missing effects.
Are you logged on as an administrator or a user when you can't add titles
and credits?

Q: I only see six effects in Movie Maker 2.x- How do I get my effects back?

A: If the only effects you have in MM are: Blur, Grayscale, Mirror (h),
Pixelate, Slow-down half, & Speed-up double,

then the following MAY help you regain missing transitions and effects in
Movie Maker.



Back up your data first!



1.. If you have Movie Maker open, exit it.
2.. Choose "Start" | "Run" | "Regedt32.exe"
3.. In Regedit, Delete all the registry entries under:


(For effects)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\{CC7BFB46-F175-11D1-A392-00E0291F3959}



(For transitions):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\{CC7BFB47-F175-11D1-A392-00E0291F3959}





4.. Exit Regedit
5.. Register the MM2.x dlls (particularly wmm2fxa.dll and wmm2fxb.dll)
1.. Example: regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\movie maker\wmm2fxa.dll"
6.. Launch Moviemaker and see if you effects have re-appeared.

I've tried everything in this post and everything else I can find in the
forum (except changing my video card) and I still can not add titles. I have
an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro video card.

Any ideas????
