Title Text Shadow 2 - Compitability Mode problem

The problem I am having with controlling the shadow on the title text on a
Master slide is happening only in compatibility mode. In compatibility mode,
if you select a placeholder (such as the "click here to add title") the
shadow options under both text effects and shape effects are grayed out. I
am working on a presentation that is going back and forth with someone who is
still on '03. Is there a work around so I can manipulate the shadow in '07 -
and still get it back to an '03 user? This is making things rather difficult
since they are using a nudged shadow on their slide's titles.

That certainly looks like a bug; you can use all of the shadow options on
regular text boxes but not on placeholders (on master or on slides).

You might need to apply the shadows in 2003 instead.
