Title slide is applied to other slides

Hello,
(Powerpoint 2003) I have a title master and a slide master. The title
master is being applied to slides 1 and 5. I've tried copying a slide in or
creating a new slide but whatever ends up on slide 5 has the title master
layout.

How do I keep the title master layout on only the title master slide?

Thansk,

The title master applies to all slides of the type Title. Title slides are
the ones with a space for the title and a space for the subtitle. They are
usually the first slide in a presentation, but they could go anywhere. Is
slide 5 set to be a Title slide? If so, change it to another Slide Layout.

Thank you...I'm not sure if I know how to check that?

I selected the blank content layout in the Slide Layout option but the
design elements of the title slide are still there.

Thanks...and sorry if this post comes through twice - i'm not sure if it
worked...

I don't know if I know how to check for this. I selected the blank content
layout in the Slide Layout menu but the design elements from the title slide
still appear on slide 5.

OK. If you have selected a Blank slide layout, then it should follow the
slide master, not the title master. I'm not sure what to suggest at this
point. My suggestions would include importing the good slides into a new
slide show, or round-tripping to HTML. But maybe someone else has a
better suggestion that would lead us to believe it is not some form of
corruption in your presentation.
