If you have more than one home computer and there is internet gaming
involved, get a router with a built-in switch that does load balancing. My
kids used to constantly knock me offline when they played xbox live, but the
new router fixed everything!

My new magic router is a DLink, but I'm sure other brands are out there,
too. The key term is "load balancing".
