open scheduled tasks:
start > all programs > accessories > scheduled tasks
and set a task to shutdown your computer at a specific time using the
shutdown.exe utility.
this utility is found at \windows\system32 folder.
more info on shutdown.exe:
open a command prompt:
start > run > type cmd
and then type "shutdown/?" (without the quotes)
