Time to save file on Network

I have a number of important files at work - about 1.6 MB in size
Takes about 4 secs to save at home, 10 secs on my work HDD BUT as much as 28
secs if I save to a network drive at work!

Is there anything I can do to avoid workarounds such as saving to HDD and
then transferring to network at end of day?

Disable the AV that is scanning the file as it saves it
