Time synchronization does not work!!!!

Clicking on Update Now button in Windows Clock>Internet Time tab does update
but NOT to the current time.
Now, when we are in summer time and clock moved 1 hour forward but both
servers:
time.windows.com and time.nist.gov serve the old time.
How to correct that?

You may want to visit Windows update. There have been over 60 updates and
one of them fixed the new daylight saving time function.

I updated my OS using Windows Update last week. When I came into work this
morning my clock was an hour fast. I manually moved it back an hour, but it
seems to keep resetting itself every hour or so. I've fixed it at least 5
times today. I went back to Windows Update and tried to go throught he
process again but the site told me I was already up to date.

Had you tried re-booting ? If that doesn't work.....

MS has another option to update your PC to the new DST changes.
You can manually edit it, using TZEdit.exe available from MS:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927229

It's down the page a bit listed as Time Zone Editor.

Did you do the DST update ? It may not take effect until a reboot.

As a side note, the time servers all serve the same time, GMT. It's
setting's on your PC, the TimeZone and DST settings that make it display
properly.

Optionally, see my reply to Jen in this thread.

Is XP doing the update, or is it just reading the time from the Server?
Maybe you have it happening twice.

It wasn't my problem, but XP will ask for the time, the server will send to
the PC the current GMT time.

XP will then set the PC clock to the GMT time adjusted by the TimeZone
offset and DST flag as set up in Regional Settings.
