We are having an isuue at my place of work where if someone's time on their local computer is set way to far out (...say December 31st 2099) they are unable to login when the computer is rebooted. We have looked at ways to set time sync for startup and shutdown, but the issue is that after setting the time that far off the connection to the server is terminated. Then it is impossible to do anything with group policy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the internal battery that keeps the CMOS clock going.

The main problem is that a component in AD, called Kerberos, requires that
client time be within 5 minutes of server time for a proper login sequence
to work.
