In our database, we forgot to include a time stamp field to indiczate when a
record was created, so we are trying to determine if there is some internal
time stamp for record creation that exists and can be accessed so that we can
go back and determine when a record was created. I thought that perhaps when
an autonumber was generated there may be a "hidden" date/time record of that,
but haven't found anything to suggest that. Is anyone aware of how we can
determine the date of a record creation even though we didn't record it in a
specific field?

Thanks.

As far as I know, there is no such property for record creation. The only way
to get the datetime a reord is created is to add a field to the table and set
its default value to Now().

Beyond that there is nothing available in Access to get the date time a record
was created.

Sorry, Access doesn't have anything like that.

Afraid you're out of luck with respect to the already-created records.

If you have regular backups you can go back to each backup and mark records
that first appear in that backup with the backup date. It's not perfect, but
may be the best you can do.
