I get a time stamp on incoming messages that is wrong i.e approx 5 hous
behind the correct time . but when I send a message it has the correct time
message. I am a first time user of outlook so I assume there is a easy fix.
Note my computer has the correct time and date set-up so can someone help me.

Does your computer have the correct time zone? If yes, does the mail server
have the correct time and time zone?

I have the same problem after I imported large number of emails (5000) from
Outlook Express into Outlook2003. 90% of the imported emails have the day of
import as received date, although these were received many years ago.
The dates in Sent Items are correctly imported.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Importing was the mistake - export from OE to preserve the date.

Thanks Diane.
I tried that option, and everything worked out.
