time out in ie6?

I have recently encountered a problem with ie6. I have
the browser open, searching for info or playing a game
and after approx 15 min. the browser shuts down and i'm
back at the desktop. is there a fix for this? I hve
antivirus protection and firewall installed. All
microsoft updates have been loaded and i have done other
various scans etc to no avail. please help.

Hi there Jackie,

Try these steps:

1. Click Start, Run, type INETCPL.CPL and click OK.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires
restart) check box.
4. Restart Internet Explorer.

Scan for spyware/adware using the Adware removal tool, download from here:
