This may seem like a silly question, but I would like to know.
From design to finish, how long does the average database take to complete.

I would like to know for my records and I can adjust my time accordingly.

thanks for all your help

I don't think it would be possible to give you even a guess on this. That's
kind of like asking how long it takes to build a house. Could be a couple
of days or many many years. I have build an entire database with tables,
forms, and queries in an hour or two. Others have taken a week just to get
the structure and a few basic forms.

An "average" database is not really easy to define.

Personally, I've never "completed" a database. I constantly improve them,
often based on items I read here in the newsgroups.

I created a database last night. It took me 15 minutes.

I'm working on another database today; I started it in 1998.

That's like asking how long it takes to complete the construction of a
building! It depends on the building, and it depends on the database.
